I can’t believe Thrifting with the Gals has been in full swing for almost a year. We’ve had so much fun, and I’ve really enjoyed sharing it all with you here and on Instagram. As we finish this year, I’m excited to join the gals today in sharing our last Thrifting with the Gals round-up, a “12 Best Vintage Finds of the Year Countdown.”
If you are joining me from Rachel at The Pond’s Farmhouse and her Top 10 Thrift Store Shopping Deals for 2021, welcome! I love every one of Rachel’s deals, especially that green chippy cabinet!

Countdown of this Year’s Best Vintage Finds
12. Bistro Style Chalkboard
When I walked into Breakaway Designs in Wells, Maine, this past summer, this bistro-style chalkboard was the open sign.
The owner offered to sell it to me for just $30. How could I resist that?
It is now the perfect “welcome to the porch” sign for our porch here in Vermont.
My husband drew this Christmas tree scene on it for the holidays.
11. Amethyst Goblets | Because It’s All About the Glass
I thrifted six amethyst goblets this past summer in Maine for $24, and I still adore them today. The color just grabs me, and I love them paired with a dark antique table piece.
Are they vintage, or are they new, though?

10. A Flying Pig | Olivia Dabbles
This flying pig was such a favorite this year, displayed over our fireplace at our home in Maine.
Last spring, I found her at The Americana Workshop in Kennebunk, Maine.
After an Instagram poll from all of you, we named her Olivia Dabbles.
9. Large Dough Bowl
These large dough bowls were a steal for $65 at a flea market in Dover, NH. I’ve always admired them, but I never wanted to pay hundreds of dollars for them, as they are often priced.
See more of this best vintage find on display in our dining room today in Maine.
8. Vintage Sewing Machine
I found this Singer sewing machine at a local thrift shop in Maine for $35. It now sits beautifully on our white built-ins at our home in Vermont.
Behind our big little poser, Ella…
See it here first at our home in Maine.

7. Johnson and Johnson’s Autumn Delight Dishware Set
This best vintage find table setting for 8 was just $65, and I knew it would work beautifully in the fall at our home in Vermont.

5. Apothecary Cabinet
This apothecary cabinet was one of my top vintage finds this year, and so many of you loved it.
You may see more of this vintage apothecary here and here decorated at our home in Maine.
4. Vintage Pine Hutch
There’s just something about pine furniture that I can’t resist. Its warming tones, rustic charm, and soft color are appealing.
And this hutch works so beautifully in this sitting room I created off of our dining room in Vermont.
And look at all that added storage I now have for dishwares and the like.
3. Vintage Desk
This desk!
It’s quirky, vintage, pine, and I adore it!
It resides today in our dining room in Maine. You may read all about this unique vintage find here.
2. Wallpaper Table
Honestly, it was a tough choice between my number 1 and number 2.
I bought this wallpaper table at a second-hand shop, and it fits our long and narrow farmer’s porch very well. It’s one of my favorite vintage finds!
I’ve enjoyed many outdoor table settings on this vintage wallpaper table. I love it!

1. Grandmillennial Coastal Curtains
I realize these curtains are not for everyone, but I adore them for our living room in coastal Maine.
And to find three matching sets, too!
They were custom-made for a boat and had that grandmillennial style with all the charms of a coastal cottage.
I found it at one of my favorite antique shops, The York Antiques Gallery.

I love your taste in vintage finds and most of all, I adore your taste in china and glassware. Well, just maybe how you put it all together is my favorite. It has inspired me to subscribe AND to get some of my junk (oops, I mean finds) out of drawers an closets and use them for display and fun. Thanks for the inspiration I needed on this cold, blustery day in Minnesota. Love your vintage choices.
Thank you so much for your fun note. and I’m so glad you are here joining me😄
