This crafty DIY heart garland is so easy to make. You can decorate a door, mantel, window, a little girl’s room, bookshelf, etc. Let’s get started!
Supplies Needed for Heart Garland
- Yarn- 3 Balls of yarn.
- Styrofoam – 2
- Scissors
- Masking Tape
- Heart cookie cutter
What I have pictured here will make a total of 10 hearts. I would actually recommend 3 balls of yarn instead of the pictured 2. This way, you’ll have enough to hang the DIY heart garland with and a little extra to wrap them with. I purchased the yarn and styrofoam at Walmart for about $7.00 apiece.
How to Make Your Own Heart Garland
Using the cookie cutter, press down on the styrofoam to create your hearts.
Make as many hearts as you like and have styrofoam available.
Tape the yarn to the styrofoam heart, helping to secure it.
Wrap the yarn in all directions around the styrofoam heart until it is complete.
You may wrap it in any direction you like.

Find a suitable spot to display your heart garland. It can be hung on a wall, draped across a mantel or staircase, or even used as a table centerpiece.

To hang the hearts, simply thread a needle and pass it through the top of each heart to create the heart garland. Super simple!
