Learn how to decorate your farmhouse dining room table with vintage blue bottles and natural greenery for a cozy and inviting ambiance.
Farmhouse Dining Room Table Decorations
Decorating a farmhouse dining room table can create a warm and inviting atmosphere that embraces rustic charm and timeless elegance. When it comes to farmhouse style, simplicity, and natural elements take center stage. To begin, start with a sturdy wooden table as the focal point. Opt for a distressed or weathered finish to enhance the farmhouse aesthetic.
Neutral Color Pallette
Next, choose a neutral color palette for your table decor. Earthy tones such as beige, cream, and light gray work well in a farmhouse setting. Consider incorporating natural textures like burlap or linen for table runners or placemats. These materials add depth and a touch of rustic charm.
Farmhouse Table Centerpiece
For the centerpiece, embrace the beauty of nature by using fresh flowers or greenery. Arrange a bouquet of wildflowers in a mason jar or place a garland of eucalyptus along the center of the table. This brings a sense of freshness and liveliness to the space.
Vintage Elements
To enhance the farmhouse ambiance, incorporate vintage elements into your table decor. Consider using antique candle holders, vintage glassware, or mismatched china plates. These unique pieces add character and a nostalgic touch to the dining experience.
Farmhouse Dining Room Table Lighting
Lastly, don’t forget about lighting. Hang a statement chandelier above the dining table to create a focal point and illuminate the space. Alternatively, opt for wall sconces or lantern-style pendant lights for a more rustic feel.
Overall, decorating a farmhouse dining room table involves combining natural elements, vintage touches, and a neutral color palette. This creates a cozy and welcoming space where family and friends can gather for delicious meals and memorable conversations.
Winter Farmhouse Dining Room Table Decor
Today, I’m setting a winter table with my favorite vintage blue bottles and some fresh-cut greenery from my backyard!
It’s snowing outside, but chicken noodle soup is on the stove, and the fire is going strong in the pellet stove. It’s a cozy day to stay home, dabble, and decorate with Ella, our Bernese Mountain Dog.
Vintage Bottles
Soft blue vintage bottles always grab my heart, and I’ve been collecting them for several years now.
First, I displayed a few of the vintage bottles on our dining room’s vintage mantel with greenery and thrift store pearl necklaces draped around the bottle necks.
Thrift Store Pearl Necklaces
I found a couple of mason jars full of costume jewelry while out Thrifting with the Gals, and inside were half a dozen or so pearl necklaces.
I thought the pearls would be fun to decorate with over the holiday season.
I love the pearl necklaces hanging around the neck of the blue vintage bottles on our dining room mantel.
They add that formal charm to a somewhat rustic look…
Setting a Wood Farmhouse Dining Room Table
I’m going for a very simple farmhouse dining room table style here today!
Thanksgiving is coming, and in just a few days, we will be heading to our home in Coastal Maine.
We will be dining out this year! Do you ever dine out for Thanksgiving?
Farmhouse Dining Room Table Centerpiece
A farmhouse dining room table centerpiece should capture the essence of rustic charm and natural beauty. Here are a few ideas to create a stunning centerpiece for your farmhouse dining table:
The key to a farmhouse dining room table centerpiece is to keep it simple, natural, and in line with the overall farmhouse aesthetic. Choose elements that evoke a sense of warmth and nostalgia, and your centerpiece will become the focal point of your dining space.
I found this old ceramic swan at Vermont Vintage Market Days a few years back. Isn’t she pretty??
Funny, I only ever seem to pull it out in the winter months.
And it’s so cute to set a farmhouse dining room table with.
Thrifted Farmhouse Dishwares
I grabbed a few thrifted of Johnson and Johnson’s, Autumn’s Delight patterned bowls, and several wooden table chargers that I had on hand for this dining room table setting.

Cutlery Couture Silverware Pouches
Aren’t these cutlery pouches just fabulous?
They come in all different designs, too!
On today’s winter table, they are home to my mother’s sterling silverware collection.
Silverware pouches, also known as utensil pouches or cutlery holders, are small fabric or paper pockets used to hold and organize the silverware (forks, knives, spoons) at each place setting on a table. They are placed next to the dinner plates or on top of the dinner napkins.
Silverware pouches serve both practical and decorative purposes. Here are a few reasons why they are used on farmhouse dining room table settings:
Cutlery pouches are a practical and decorative addition to a farmhouse dining room table setting. They help keep the silverware organized, enhance the visual appeal of the table, and contribute to the overall dining experience.

A Book for the Table
My friend, Molly from Molly in Maine, sent me this absolutely adorable vintage book, The Winter Kitchen by Louise Andrews.
It reads like a beautiful conversation, and I know you will just adore it, too.
Today, sitting at the end of our farmhouse dining room table, this little book just feels so welcoming and cozy next to a couple of candles.

Beautiful tablescape Ann and I really love the bottles with pine clippings! Just gorgeous! Pinning!
Thank you so much, Michelle! Happy Holidays!
Love the swan and the pearls are fun. We are possibly the only people who are not fond of Thanksgiving. We eat very little meat and do not enjoy that particular meal tradition..although when the kids were home I did cook every year. Now we start the Christmas decor on November 1 and on Thanksgiving we eat something festive that we prefer. For many years we were in Palm Springs, Ca. from November until March and often ate out. My favorite was a Mexican buffet. You find such cute things thrifting. I have not thrifted before but shall have to try it out.
We aren’t very traditional either. I love change and eating out on Thanksgiving. Whatever makes you happy I say. Thank you so much for following along❤️❤️❤️
I love your vintage bottles Ann and especially with the necklaces draped around them. And the greenery is a beautiful touch. How sweet of Molly to send you that sweet book.
Thank you so much Kim😃😃
Everything looks so beautiful, Ann! I love the necklaces draped around the bottles. What a clever idea! Also glad you used the book I sent you. The colors of the cover reminded me of you!
Thank you so much Molly😉
