Summer Dessert with MacKenzie-Childs Sterling Check Around the Fire Pit
Sterling Check Enamel Collection
The MacKenzie-Childs’ Sterling Check is a more neutral, fresh take on the most iconic pattern, Courtly Check. The muted silver of the checks is accented with subtle yellow and blue painted pull-throughs.

What’s for Summer Dessert?
First up is lemon cake!
One of my favorite cakes, made right here in town by Mother Myrick’s,
is the infamous Lemon LuLu cake, also available online.
I like to order the 6 Individual Mini Lemon Lulu Cakes too.
Aren’t they the perfect bite-size cakes? And just look at these delicacies now displayed on MacKenzie-Childs’ Sterling Check appetizer plates. Super cute!

Pulling out the Blues and Yellows in the Sterling Check
Paired with vintage blue glassware, which mates well with the blues woven through this Sterling Check pattern. See more of the glassware in the post, The Best Vintage Market and an Antique Haul.
The large Sterling Check cake stand is absolutely fabulous, too.
It fits the large yellow Lemon LuLu cake beautifully! Also, pulling out the yellows woven throughout this neutral checkered design.
All the enamel pieces in this collection are ideal for outdoor summer celebrations.
A bouquet of lilacs and bleeding hearts picked from our backyard work charmingly in MacKenzie-Childs’ Sterling Check medium enamel, Practical Pitcher.
And can we talk about these large salt and pepper shakers?
Aren’t they absolutely rad, haha? My husband loves them!
Top off your summer festivities with MacKenzie-Childs’ matching Sterling Check Enamel Wine Cooler too.

Summer Dessert with MacKenzie-Childs Sterling Check on the Porch
Now let’s head up to the porch for a second summer dessert with our friends over at MacKenzie-Childs.
The days are getting warmer here, so enjoying dessert on the porch will be a bit cooler.
The Patriotic summer holidays are upon us so a little red, white, and blue is in order for hosting this Sterling Check collection.
I paired the Sterling Check appetizer plates on our porch table with a traditional red and white check placemat, dark blue glassware, and floral napkins.
We’ll start off with some fresh watermelon and Maine blueberries. Accompanied by my mother’s sterling silver flatware.
Add in a summer bouquet of colorful flowers highlighted in MacKenzie Childs’ Sterling Check wine cooler on top of their fabulous large pedestal platter. It all makes for an ideal heightened summer table centerpiece.
Add a delicious cake as the main summer dessert course, and light a couple of candles for ambiance.
The Sterling Check medium pitcher accompanies the table with fresh water on the side.
The MacKenzie-Childs’ Sterling Check Enamelware works so beautifully on our porch table and on evenings enjoyed around the fire pit. We just love this collection and hope you do too!

Oh Ann
You always show such beautiful table settings! These are fabulous. The fire pit area is so warm and welcoming and the porch table displaying Fourth of July design is absolutely stunning (I’m getting hungry!!!). Thank you for showing Makenzie Childs new color pallet! I LOVE the muted blue shades; very relaxing and calming and it allows other items the table to fit so beautifully in the settings. Thank you for sharing your inspiration and endless creativity!
